Hi, I’m Tonya Casanova, the proud owner of Lanex Travel Agency. But my favorite title? Mom. I feel incredibly blessed that God chose me to be the mother of two amazing boys.

When my boys were toddlers, I pursued a career in nursing to provide for them as a single mom. Nursing became my second calling, allowing me to care for others in meaningful ways, especially in hospice, where I found purpose in making a difference at the end of life.

In May 2022, my world changed forever when I lost my oldest son in a tragic accident, just days before he graduated high school. His passing taught me a profound lesson—life is too short, and making memories with the ones we love is what truly matters. My youngest son is now a high school senior, and as I navigate life without his brother, I hold even tighter to the importance of cherishing every moment.

I initially became a travel agent as a way to afford making memories with my family, but what started as a side venture quickly turned into something so much more. Now, I have the privilege of helping others create unforgettable experiences with their loved ones. When I meet with families, I openly share my story—not for sympathy, but to remind others to take the trip, make the memories, and embrace every moment. We never know what life will bring or take away.

So far, I’ve helped hundreds of people plan meaningful trips, and while I still hold my nursing title, my dream is to one day put aside my stethoscope and nursing hat and retire as a full-time travel agent—teaching others how to enter this amazing industry, helping families create lasting memories, and, most importantly, making more memories of my own with those I love.
